The beautiful Mid-Hudson Valley in New York State is always inspiring to paint. Every year I participate to the Hudson Skywalk Arts Festival in September. It is organized by several nonprofit organizations of NY State, including Olana Partnership, Thomas Cole National Historic site, Bridge Authority and NY State Parks, and many more. We celebrate the arts of the Hudson Valley and a new pedestrian path which connects the historic homes and studios of master artists Thomas Cole and Frederic Church. Photographers, oil painters and watercolor artists, like myself, exhibit our art in a small park located next to the Rip Van Winkle Bridge in the Catskills, overlooking the beautiful Hudson river.

Near my home (Elizaville, NY) there are several little villages like Red Hook and Tivoli with their parks situated near the Hudson River. Tivoli Bays Reserve offers scenic wildlife and opportunities to canoe or kayak along the marshlands.

More beauties of New York State with the Hudson River, Rip Van Winkle bridge, Mario M. Cuomo bridge under sunset and of course, the Adirondack Mountains in the fall. With more than six million acres, it is one of the largest natural US parks in the northeast. 

The Catskill mountains offer plenty of trails and natural wildlife reserves for camping, fishing, hunting and hiking.
